It depicts the master standing, holding his walking stick, surrounded by sacred inscriptions. The reverse features a central yant with a monk’s bowl, as well as the temple’s inscription and the year of consecration (2524 of the Buddhist era).
These medals are said to offer protection, luck and spiritual stability to their wearers, while recalling the teachings of this respected master of Isan.
Located in Khon Kaen Province, Wat Pho Si is a historic temple dating back to the reign of Rama III (19th century). It offers a peaceful atmosphere, ideal for meditation and Dharma practice. The temple is particularly known for its ancient brick ubosot and its murals, which reflect the local Buddhist art of the time. A true testament to Isan’s spiritual heritage, this monastery remains an important place of worship for the region’s inhabitants.
