Ancient Buddhist votive tablet – Buddha and disciples.

A rare Thai Buddhist terracotta votive tablet depicting the Buddha seated in the lotus position under a parasol, with a tree (with a monkey in the branches) above and disciples coming to greet him. A Garuda eagle can also be seen in the sky to the left.

This votive tablet is clearly ancient, and shows traces of gold leaf on its front surface. I obtained this object from a private collector in Ayuthaya.
