This rare terracotta amulet depicts Green Tara , the goddess of compassion and deliverance from fears in Tibetan Buddhism. It was dedicated in 1978 at Wat Thaworn Wararam , a temple in Kanchanaburi province.
Wat Thaworn Wararam, also known as Chùa Khánh Thọ , was founded in the 18th century by Vietnamese people. This temple illustrates the deep connection between the Thai and Vietnamese communities, and embodies a unique spiritual crossroads where Theravada Buddhist traditions and Mahāyāna influences blend.
