This ancient Thai amulet, consecrated around 1970 by the venerable Phrakru Ophat Nawakit at Wat Ban Mai in Nakhon Nayok province, contains a printed image of the standing Sunday Buddha. This sacred form is traditionally associated with people born on a Sunday, to whom it is reputed to bring protection, stability and blessings during important moments in life.
The piece consists of an ancient devotional image of the protective Buddha, accompanied by three Takut, carefully placed in a custom plastic reliquary. On the reverse is the yant Namtao, a traditional sacred diagram prized for its protective and beneficial dimensions. The ensemble testifies to devotional work typical of temple amulets from this era.
