RareBuddhist terracotta votive tablet natural stone representing two Phra Naphok Buddhas seated on either side of a large central chedi, symbolizing enlightenment and protection. This ancient piece, crafted around 50 years ago in the Mahasarakham region, bears the marks of time, which testifies to its authenticity and its long ritual history. The upper part is missing, but the lower part of three additional Buddhas can be seen.
The naive and powerful style of this representation reflects the Buddhist folk art of Issan, often imbued with a raw and sincere energy. The two Phra Naphok Buddhas (Buddha under the Naga King) are figures associated with protection against destructive energies, natural disasters, and invisible enemies.
