An ancient Tibetan 5 Sho type coin, mounted as a pendant in a brass setting designed to hold the coin without damaging it. One side of this coin features the snow lion, a traditional symbol of Tibet’s strength, protection, and spiritual sovereignty. These coins were produced in independent Tibet between 1947 and 1953 (production gradually ceased after the Chinese invasion of 1950).
The other side bears Tibetan inscriptions arranged in a circle, in the ancient Tibetan monetary style. Its natural patina, visible reliefs, and simple mounting make it an object that is at once historical, spiritual, and decorative.

The brass setting was designed to preserve the coin, without drilling or direct modification of the ancient metal. This mounting allows the coin to be worn as a pendant while respecting its historical integrity.
This ancient Tibetan coin evokes the protective power of the snow lion, the symbolic guardian of the Himalayan highlands. It will appeal to collectors, enthusiasts of ancient Tibetan objects, and those sensitive to Buddhist symbols of protection.
🦁 Under the gaze of the snow lion, this ancient coin still seems to carry the echo of the sacred mountains of free Tibet. Its dark patina, Tibetan signs, and protective brass circle make it a discreet talisman, imbued with memory, inner strength, and spiritual presence.
