Copper medal dedicated in 1995 (BE 2538) at the famous Wat Ban Rai (Nakhon Ratchasima province), issued in honor of the Most Venerable Luang Phor Koon Parisuttho . This venerable monk, immensely respected in Thailand, is renowned for his benevolence, his spiritual powers and his legendary humility.
This commemorative medal was issued as a souvenir of the great merit-making ceremony held for the construction of the stupa (chedi) to house relics of the Buddha (พระบรมสารีริกธาตุ) offered by King Rama IX.
On the obverse, Luang Phor Koon is depicted in his classic posture (squatting while smoking a cigar). The reverse shows the stupa and the date of consecration: January 11, 2538.
sacred Buddhist rituals
In the silence of a sacred temple, Luang Phor Koon was not just a master of speech, but a living channel of accumulated merit. This medal, issued to seal the memory of a stupa dedicated to the relics of the Buddha, acts like a karmic mirror: it reflects the pure intention of the wearer. An object of devotion but also an invisible catalyst of tangible benefits, it concentrates in its metal the blessings of a master and the echo of the Dharma.
