Nam Mön Buddhist holy water in Thailand is an important element
of Buddhist religious practice. It is used during ceremonies and rituals to purify the mind and body of worshippers. Practitioners believe that holy water
has healing properties and can drive away evil spirits.

The blessing of water is usually performed by a Buddhist monk
who recites prayers and performs meditations to transmit his spiritual merits to the water. People then come to receive the holy water
pouring it over their heads like a shower
(in Thai we call these blessed showers Ab-Nam Mön ),
by drinking it or using it to spray their homes and families.

There are also holy water fountains in Buddhist temples
where people come to fill their bottles to take home.
Water blessing ceremonies are often held for special occasions such as births, weddings, and religious celebrations.
