This magnificent golden medal from the Roon Plodpaï series was dedicated in 1989 to celebrate the 90th birthday of the very venerable Luang Phor Djoy Jantasuwanno (1899–2007) , highly respected master of Wat Sri-Uthumhön in the province of Nakhon Sawan . His name « Plodpaï » literally means protection and deliverance from danger , expressing the primary function of this medal: to offer invulnerability and security to its wearer.

The obverse features a portrait of the venerable Luang Phor Djoy seated in meditation, finely carved in gilt metal. The reverse features a precisely engraved sacred yant , accompanied by Thai inscriptions commemorating the master’s 90th birthday and the name of the temple.

Blessed during a grand ceremony, this medal is intended to grant protection against accidents, longevity, luck and prosperity . It constitutes a collector’s item all the more precious as it commemorates a unique event in the life of Luang Phor Djoy.
