These small iron Phurba are made of 30% iron from links
of one of the famous Chakzampa (Iron Bridge) built almost
600 years by Mahasiddha Thangtong Gyalpo (1385 – 1509).

Nowadays iron Phurba are rarely found in Nepal,
the vast majority of modern production is now in bronze
(because it is much easier to work with by molding).

These iron Phurba pendants are very precious relics,
which provide a direct link
with one of the most extraordinary Masters of the Tibetan tantric tradition.

Over time, the iron Phurba take on a very beautiful dark patina.
(they oxidize on the surface and should be rubbed from time to time
with sand and oil them, the patina comes little by little).
