King Naresuan’s Fighting Cock Amulets – Maha Chakkraphat Edition – Phitsanulok 2012

🐓 These two superb enameled metal fighting cock amulets pay homage to one of the most iconic symbols of strength, loyalty and courage in Thai history: the royal rooster of Somdej Phra Naresuan the Great .
Created during the great Maha Chakkraphat edition in 2012, these pieces were blessed during three major ceremonies :

• On March 6, 2012 at the Somdej Phra Naresuan Shrine , Chan Palace , Phitsanulok (veneration ceremony),
• On the same day at Phra Buddha Chinnarat Wihan (pouring of gold and first blessing),
• And finally in June 2012 , during the solemn blessing of the Buddha Mangala “ Maha Chakkraphat ”, at Wat Phra Sri Rattana Mahathat Woramahawihan .

The royal rooster of Naresuan is inspired by a purebred fighting cock, traditionally yellow with a white tail, which the king was particularly fond of. It embodies vigilance, bravery, and luck, particularly in gambling, fighting, and risky business.
