This rare amulet features a portrait of the Most Venerable Luangta Mahābua Ñāṇasampanno (1913–2011), a renowned master of the Thai Forest Tradition. On the back, it contains a precious relic: pieces of betel nut chewed by the Venerable himself, carefully sealed in a round metal capsule.
This is a highly sacred spiritual object, emanating the vibrant presence of a contemporary arahant, renowned for his rigorous practice and perfect integrity in the Vinaya. This amulet is a tangible link to a 20th-century enlightened master, both a reminder of his wisdom and a protective tool for the wearer.
Born in 1913 in Udon Thani province, the venerable Ajahn Mahābua Ñāṇasampanno was one of Thailand’s greatest meditation masters. A direct disciple of the legendary Ajahn Mun Bhuridatta , he embodied all the rigor and inner power of the forest monk tradition.
Known for his uncompromising speech, monastic simplicity, and legendary generosity, Luangta Mahābua was also responsible for significant charitable works, including the creation of the « National Treasury » to support the Thai economy. He is considered by many to be an arahan (fully enlightened being).
