This beautiful ochre-colored sacred paste amulet comes from Wat Ban Klang , located in the Noen Kham district (Chai Nat province). It represents a Buddha seated under an arch , in a meditation posture, surrounded by traditional motifs and Khom letters.
On the reverse side, there is a large central yant in the shape of a Talapad monk’s fan , decorated with khom letters , and accompanied by two Chinese ideograms printed in red:佛獅– literally “ Lion Buddha ”, an allusion to the lion of the Dharma (also called the Lion of the Sakya, or of course the Buddha Sakyamuni) .
A few visible black flakes in the paste indicate the inclusion of sacred relic stones. This amulet is mounted in a traditional metal reliquary , finely decorated.
the magic of the Buddha
It is said that when a Buddha teaches, his voice resounds like the roar of a celestial lion, making ignorance tremble. This amulet echoes this. The yant engraved on the back, a fusion of Khom script and Chinese ideograms, acts as a mystical seal linking two traditions. Wear it as you would a talisman of awakening—understated, ancient, yet still vibrant with the echoes of a country temple where the Dharma never sleeps.
