Sacred Chinese Pearl of the Four Sons of the Dragon blessed by the Most Venerable Phra Maha Kananamtham Panyathiwat .

These sacred bronze beads are decorated with four fantastic animals from Chinese legends, which are part of the « nine sons of the dragon ».
The nine sons of the dragon are
(according to the Wuzazu version, a classical Chinese text from the 16th century):
– Qiuni (Dragon-shaped) a creature that loves music
and is often used to decorate instruments.
– Yázì睚眦, (a dragon and wolf hybrid) a creature that loves to fight
and is often used as decoration on bladed weapons.
– Cháofēn g嘲風, (a hybrid of Phoenix and dragon) an adventurous creature, which serves as decoration in the four corners of Chinese rooftops.
– Púláo蒲牢, (A small four-legged dragon) a creature that likes to scream
and serves as decoration on the bells.
– Suanni (a lion and dragon hybrid) , a creature that likes to sit
and is often depicted at the foot of the Buddha (who is nicknamed « the lion of the Sakya »)
– Bìxì贔屭(a hybrid of turtle and dragon) a creature with a shell that can carry very heavy objects, it serves as decoration for tombs and as bases for pillars.
– B ì’àn狴犴, (a hybrid of tiger and dragon) a creature that likes lawsuits, it can be found as decoration in front of prison gates.
– Bāxià霸下, (a hybrid of reptile and dragon) a creature that likes to drink water and serves as decoration on bridges.
– Chīwěn蚩吻, (a hybrid of fish and dragon) a creature that likes to swallow things, it is found as decoration on Chinese rooftops.

The four dragon threads that adorn these protective pearls are
Bixi , Chaofeng , Pulao and Suanni .

These sacred beads are made of an alloy of ancient metals,
They are considered very powerful protections and can be worn as a pendant or added to a rosary to increase the merits of the mantras recited with them.
