This Buddhist amulet depicts Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambhava) , the great Tantric master who introduced Vajrayana Buddhism to Tibet. Considered a second Buddha, Guru Rinpoche is revered throughout the Himalayas for his power of spiritual protection and his ability to repel negative forces.
On the front panel appears Guru Rinpoche seated in a regal posture, surrounded by a halo of light symbolizing his enlightened wisdom. This representation recalls his role as master of mantras and esoteric teachings.
The reverse of the amulet bears the three sacred syllables Aum Ah Hung , a fundamental mantra of Tantric Buddhism. These three sounds respectively represent the awakened body, speech, and mind of the Buddhas.
This amulet was consecrated around 2010 in a Buddhist temple in Bangkok during a ritual ceremony including recitations of mantras and traditional blessings.
